Two of my gransons one 12 and his older bro..16 just did a concert a fund raiser for their local food bank..... Another their cousin 16 ..busks (street performer) to raise money for some bleeding heart feed the hungry religious program And his sister....for her 18th birthday ... decided to spend the day working with handi-capped kids.....instead of getting drunk now that she is of age.

Auntie........yup I have grankids(several infact)...my oldest gran is 18 ..... When my peer group gets pessimistic and down in the mouth about subsequent generations..... They remind me to be optimistic for the future..........cause IMO they are a reflection of their generation.........
I dont kid myself...........they sure aint saints and some of them have been more than troublesome at times.............but they rise to the occaission in surprising ways.......
I hope I live long enough to see them in their adulthood...
