Over at The Tree CtCStrela is asking Denny (umm...er...Housewolf) if the forum is associated with and run by the same people as DaBomb...since it's hosted on Jon's server.....Guess we will be welcoming CTCStrela here soon.

I joined the board, and I know this is right off the gate, but I have to ask.

I noticed that the title page has the same colonial flag background, as another board. I also ran a whois on the web address and came back with this information:

I thought this board was something Grock got going and not just an offshoot tandem due whatever "issues" the other place was plagued with.

Same server provider. I don't know much about Jon, and madgenius. I was under the impression that he was a small-town provider. ::shrugs::

We have no association to any other board on the internet.

The association with MadGenius is one of a financial nature- He gave me a really fair price! Wink

Since I am funding this little project entirely out of my pocket that is a paramount concern.

I had no idea people would be concerned by it. Question

seeing as how MadGenius is buddy-buddy with tb-too-gay.inc
even if DO has nothing to do with the tree
he will still have easy root access to the server.

If it is in fact a "real" independant offshoot
they need to find a new host
there are still a few free, lots around $5. a month.

CTStrela resigned about a week ago.

Somebody mentioend Rusty Shakelford has not been posting either. And Dr. Fungcool tried to tell in code where he was now postingo but I dont know what the code meant. Somebody else said they woulld e-maill Rusty and get him to come back and check in and say hey so he has not resigend.The code was something like the chair being up againt the wall and soembody named John having a long beard.Thre was a fewother hints but i don't recall them.
OneByOne has not posted either since she called for DO's resignation and he told her never .
Fruit Lop back. aint that somethin. He mgiht as well go ahead and make her asssistnat chief lardass curmudge.She will be worse than ever after a honeymoon period of a couple of weeks of good behaviur. All that carp she posted at Uncel Bobs played Lardass Like a fiddle. He is the one that got manipulated this time, ole Fruit loop knew he would read what she was saying at UB and she heaped it on.
You best look out Chuaablicishous you might be about to lose your feller.
I dont know if I belive Treehouse being unaffiliated or not. At first I thought it was started because of the evdience about the ads being so good and then the posting of POJ's personal info . Because one of the main by laws they have is they will never post anybodys personal information.But the seeds been planted in my brain now that it might be in DO's house so I wont ever trust it.

Hey Mexi, I just did the math for kicks. Your plan for $6.95 a month would cost $52460 on madgenius. That wasn't a typo, that was $52460 per month for the same service.


 

 That was for the 200 MB storage with 50 MB extras at $5 a pop and 5 gig bandwidth with 1 gig per $5 added on. That was the $20 a monthy plan, not the $10 plan.

Yes, but you forgot the great service MadGenius provides. I mean like zero downtime or something, even. Well, someone may trip on the wires and pull out the plug once in a while but they plug it back in real fast.

Good service costs a little extra, you know.
