Anybody here have a 2.5 ton AC they can sell to DO to replace the one he has that is dying? I'm sure he would pay a fair price. He just posted at TB2K for a replacement, so lets all help him out.
I doubt it's dying...probably needs maintenance/repair.
I had a home with an A/C that was installed in 1994 when the home was built. Regular maintenance on a 12 year old unit. No problems until last year. Had the capacitator ? /something had to be replaced...$200 and added freon, and it works like new.
Now we have a new home with 2 units installed in 1998. No problems so far. Last year I set up a maintenace agreement with the company who installed the units when the home was built. They come out twice a year to service it for free. The maintenace contract cost $250 for life - that price also included servicing it last year.
He must not take very good care of his stuff. Ours work overtime during the summer months - Dennis' winters are like our summers.
