This is Jimmy Splinters.

For some reason, every time I try to post logged in, I get a run time error from Explorer and it has to shut down.

I heard from Brooks via email this morning and she said that her and Plain O' Joe got the boot yesterday as well as some other longtime members.

Re:  BB on the banned list; an anon posting here said that he asked that his membership be revoked.  I dunno if we want to put a note on our list for the folks banned 'by their own request' if it is accurate.

That's too bad about Brooks and Joe.  They were a lot of fun on TB, as are most on the list. 

I guess the self-destruct has no boundaries.

Kittyinva, then I'd guess that you should be listed with the 'Banhammer 2000' which was the era of mass bannings around the fall fundraiser last year.  I'm on that list.

Uncle Buck, yep, last fall most of the folks banned just had their passwords changed on them so that the profile wouldn't reflect what had happened.  The membership therefore was kept in the dark about how things really ran in that regard.  That's how I was banned: my password was changed by DO; I suddenly just simply couldn't log on.  No warning, no explanation.  I didn't care, as I would have never posted after the incorporation anyway, but I feel bad for the folks who did care.

That's not hard to check, look at the members' list & see if last date of posting is close to 'date of last drama' - that explains a lot of posters who simply faded away. And yes, a lot of readers simply moved on after any of the most recent soap operas.

That's exactly what happened with me (and the other newly exiled, I suspect).  I was apparently purged from the members list but the tag under my posts still reads "Veteran Member".

I'm sure most of the hive has no idea what's really going on.  imslow.gif
